Thëm-yeqêe Bî (/ˈseni/ /jeˈqɘe/ [vicious; wild] [butt]) is a temperate Large Town located in Dragonlyn Dutchy, Pifîkèli Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Thëm-yeqêe Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Thëm-yeqêe Bî was founded by Breleli Trêgfê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Thëm-yeqêe Bî has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 16°C (60°F). Thëm-yeqêe Bî receives an average of 242 cm/y (95 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Overview

Thëm-yeqêe Bî was founded durring the late 18th century in late summer of the year 1768, by Breleli Trêgfê. The establishment of Thëm-yeqêe Bî was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Breleli Trêgfê electing to pay people to resettle in Thëm-yeqêe Bî.

Thëm-yeqêe Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Thëm-yeqêe Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Thëm-yeqêe Bî is is constructed arround a series of spacious paverstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The town's failry decent fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Thëm-yeqêe Bî has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Thëm-yeqêe Bî ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the town one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

Civic Infrastructure

Thëm-yeqêe Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Thëm-yeqêe Bî. Thëm-yeqêe Bî possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Thëm-yeqêe Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Thëm-yeqêe Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Thëm-yeqêe Bî has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Cultural Notes

Thëm-yeqêe Bî's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..
